Holy Week at St. Stephen's Church

Maundy Thursday child friendly service in the church at 7:30pm





Good Friday 10:00am-12:00pm Gather on the stairs of the church (in case of rain gather in the WEB behind the church). We will have an interactive, intergenerational program appropriate for children of all ages.



¨ Hear the Palm Sunday story of Jesus the King.

¨ Process to Rector’s Hall to change our coins for temple coins (please       bring change to go toward our Heifer International Project.)



¨     Jesus will chase the money changers out of the temple.

¨     Witness the last supper and Jesus’ arrest                                                





At this point our younger learners will join a leader in the garden in Rector’s Hall for an age appropriate story telling of the crucifixion using Resurrection Eggs. Older learners will join Sarah Moden-Alliston and Brook Packard in the church for a more traditional Stations of the Cross.





¨     Gather in Rector’s Hall to make Resurrection cookies and decorate          Easter eggs.  Please bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs to decorate.



¨     End our morning with music.





Holy Saturday we will have our Easter Vigil service at 7:30 PM which includes candles, bells and our young choristers. Afterwards we will have an Easter reception complete with chocolate fountains and punch! If you want an Easter service without the crowds of Sunday morning this      service is for you!





Easter Day services are Traditional Festival Services with choir and           special music at 9 and 11 am
