Word Around Town IV: An Evening of Original Poetry

 Ridgefield  See map

The Ridgefield Theater Barn will present Word Around Town: An Evening of Original Poetry on Sunday December 16th at 7pm.

Directed by Patti Azzara and Katy Curtis, and produced by Marla Manning, this popular event has become a creative mainstay on the Barn calendar because of the refreshing contributions of original verse from the minds of local wordsmiths.  Each Word Around Town event, though similar in format and style, is re-imagined by the directors, based on the participants and the themes that emerge.  Ms. Azzara and Ms. Curtis, poets themselves, hopes this evening of free-form and prose will continue to encourage self-expression through the poetic arts, while also promoting local artists and their craft.

All tickets are $7, seating is theater style and light refreshments will be served.  Doors will open ½ hour prior to curtain.  The Ridgefield Theater Barn is located at 37 Halpin Lane and reservations can be made online at www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org, or by calling (203) 431-9850.

No money for the classrooms? A shame. Ridgefield's BOE just donated $25,000 of taxpayer money toRead More yet another artificial turf field. Gee, that works out to about $480 per classroom - exactly what the teachers have to spend out of their pockets on YOUR kids. Lesson: Money for sports? Yes. Money for the classroom. No.
