The Ridgefield Historical Society is off to West Point on June 1

Members and friends of the Ridgefield Historical Society will want to join our June 1st spring trip to West Point for a three-hour guided tour of our historic Academy and the West Point Museum, the oldest and largest military museum in the Western Hemisphere.  Two hours into our tour, the group will take a mid-day break to dine at the newly-renovated Bear Mountain Inn close-by!

Leaving at 8:30 from the side lot at St. Mary School, off High Ridge Road in Ridgefield, our bus will also serve as our West Point tour vehicle.  We plan to arrive back at the St. Mary School lot at the end of the day by 5:30.

Our personal tour guide will join us when we arrive soon after 10 at the West Point Visitors Center, where there is a life size model of a cadet room, and begin our tour of West Point, learning about its 200 years of tradition and history.
