There was a great debate a few years ago about a Christmas display traditionally set up on Town property ... the Community Center ... the town removed it and it now stands on the Knights of Columbus property across from the Catholic Church. Yet a 7 foot menorah can be set up, displayed, and illuminated in Ballard Park. A double standard?? I can only imagine who would come out of the bushes howling complaints if a 7 foot cross was illuminated and displayed on even the remotest piece of town property.
