The American folk rock music duo consisting of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, The Indigo Girls met in elementary school and began performing together as high school students in Decatur, Georgia and as students at Emory University at The Dugout, a bar in the Emory Village.  They soon released a self-produced, full-length record album in 1987, contracted with a major record company in 1988 and released nine albums to now, with hits such as “Closer to Fine.”  Now, having resumed to self-producing albums with their own IG Recordings company, the girls are back and better than ever!
