Family & Children’s Aid and Habitat for Humanity benefit
from high scoring games

Danbury, CT. Ventura,
Ribeiro & Smith
pledged one hundred dollars for every Danbury Whaler goal scored during the
months of January and February to two local non-profit organizations. Now it’s
time to ante up! The Whalers scored a whopping 47 goals and on Friday, March 21st,
checks will be presented to Family &
Children’s Aid
and Housatonic
Habitat for Humanity
at the Danbury Ice Arena.

At half time, Agostinho Ribeiro, the VRS’s Managing
Partner, will take center ice to present a check for the 27 goals scored during
the month of January. The check will be given to Nick Hoffman, Development
Director of Family and children’s Aid.  Habitat’s
Derek Roy, a board member and chairman of the organization’s strategic planning
committee, will accept a second check for the 15 goals scored in February.

Attorney
Ribeiro stated, “To provide compassion and to help all families strive for a
better life is the charitable purpose that Our Firm has had for over 55 years.” Both of these charities
are steadfast in their commitment to this purpose and to our Greater
Danbury community.  We are proud to support their mission and projects.
We encourage the community to
connect with their spirit and support them either through donations of time or
funds.

“Providing
mental health care for children is a challenge that you can’t take on alone,”
says Hoffman,” Ventura, Ribeiro &
Smith
and The Danbury Whalers
have been supporters of our mission and true champions for the emotional well-being
of children in the Danbury area. The impact of this gift is going to have an immediate
impact on children in our community”.

Habitat
is all about community,” comments the organization’s Executive Director Fran
Normann, “we are pleased that someone from the community like Ventura, Ribeiro & Smith is working
with us to build homes for local families.” Habitat has been serving Western
Connecticut since 197l.

Ventura, Ribeiro & Smith has offices in Danbury, Bridgeport,
Hartford and Norwalk, CT and New York City.
