Video: Young Chefs Master Old Recipes

It's rare for even an accomplished chef to handchurn butter—rarer yet for kids.

The children spent the morning mixing spiced pumpkin bread, churning butter and preparing applesauce—recipes their ancestors made centuries ago. Leading the event was owner Maria Pelizzari of Fork Knife Spook Cooking. The Wilton-based catering and personal-chef service offers cooking classes and parties to children and adults throughout the area.
