What do you think about these lists—do they influence your decision about which doctors to use? Are personal recommendations a factor?

I think the choice of a physician is a personal choice.Certainly collecting info from others is helpful but you need to make the choice based on your needs. I needed surgery and actually interviewed 2 doctors before I decided. I was extremely pleased with my choice as he met all MY expectations. I went to a CT top doctor for a back issue and felt very disappointed...he even prescribed something that was off the market....so, my advice is to do some research, interview if you need a specialist, and make an informed decision.
