Ridgefield Police Logs: Shoplifting and a Two-Car-Accident

An accident on Danbury Road sent one person to the hospital.

9/21/2012: A two-car-accident on Danbury Road sent one person to Danbury Hospital for evaluation this past Friday in Ridgefield.

Police said that two cars were travelling north on Danbury Road when a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. The person sent to the hospital was a passenger of the first vehicle.

The man who was rear-ended was identified by police as Anthony Ferrante, 27, Lovely Street, Canton.

The driver who struck him was identified by police as Mario Devivo, 72 of Castle Drive, Newtown.

The passenger sent to the hospital was identified by police as Katelyn Dunstar 23, of Yorkshire Way, Burlington. 

 

9/16/2012: Police arrested a 28-year-old woman for allegedly shoplifting $500 from a local business in Copps Hills Plaza, according to the Ridgefield Police Department.

Police charged Magdaleana Mosiej, of Williams Street, Stamford, with fifth-degree larceny. She was released on a $50 bond and given a promise to appear in court.
