Owners of Ridgefield's Elms Inn Want to Convert it into Condos
The Calva family, which owns the property, intends to preserve the historic buildings along Main Street and integrate them with the new buildings for a total of 16 condominium units, according to a report in the Ridgefield Press.
The owners of the on Main Street in have reportedly submitted a preliminary plan to the to convert the 2.67-acre property into a condominium development.
According to a report in the Ridgefield Press the Calva family, which owns the property, intends to preserve the historic buildings along Main Street and integrate them with the new buildings for a total of 16 condominium units.
“The intent is to maintain the streetscape there, maintain the appearance from Main Street, and build kind of like a village atmosphere behind,” land-use attorney Robert Jewell told the Press.

The Inn is reportedly located in a multi-family residential zone.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to discuss the proposal during its meeting on July 17.
