A single-car crash occurred last night, August 13, at 11:30 p.m. on Farmingville Road, killing the driver, police reports state.
Police said that the operator had to be extracted from his vehicle and was then transported to Danbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Ridgefield Press identified the man as Ralph Cerreta, 56, of Farmingville Road. The article also states that Cerreta was a member of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce who was involved in the business of waste management.
Police said that the accident is currently under investigation.
