Something For Kids (And You) This Weekend

This weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities offers new places to try out with the kids. Each week we're giving you all the info you need on family activities or events.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: , on Sat., Feb. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to  11 a.m.
Why Go:  This fundraiser will help support Hannah Trotman, a Ridgefield resident who was diagnosed with leukemia about a year ago, and her family. The event will feature a children's music program with Ridgefield music teacher Elly Pesce and a creative project for children to design their own plates.
Pricing: Tickets are $20 per child, $13 of which will go directly to help Hannah, the other $7 will cover the expenses of the Make-A-Plate projects. The St. Stephen's donation will be made to the Hannah Trotman Fund through the Moms Club.  Buy Tickets

Why Go:  Students in grades 4 to 8 will learn Scrabble from a nationally-ranked player.

Why Go:  Mother Goose time features movement, music and rhymes for infants to 2 year old with a caregiver.
Pricing:  FREE. No registration necessary.

Why Go:  Open to all 5 to 16 year old Ridgefield girls, the Ridgefield Babe Ruth Softball creates an environment that fosters competitive play, teamwork, and strong friendships among players, while at the same time developing solid on-field skills.
