Barbara J. Paris, 66

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 1:15 PM in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield.

Barbara J. Paris, 66, of Danbury, formerly of Ridgefield, wife of Richard W. Paris died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Paris was born in Norwalk, April 2, 1946, daughter Joseph and Edith (Cassavechia) Califano.  She was raised in Ridgefield and attended Ridgefield schools, graduated from Amerigo Beauty School and was a waitress at the former F.W. Woolworth Store, Ridgefield and a cashier at the former First National Store, Ridgefield.


In recent years, Mrs. Paris was associated with her husband in his building contracting company, Richard W. Paris, Inc. of Danbury.  Mrs. Paris was also a furniture refinisher and did chair caning and weaving.

A lifelong area resident, she was a member of the United State Bowling Congress (U.S. B.C.) and was a member of St. Mary Parish of Ridgefield.  She enjoyed bowling, gardening and trips to Foxwoods.

In addition to her husband of forty-nine years, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Paris of Danbury; a son, Richard J. Paris and his wife, Jackie of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Michael Califano of Jacksonville, FL and two grandchildren, Amber and Drew Horvath.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 1:15 PM in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Danbury Hospital Development Fund for Oncology Nursing Services-11 East, 24 Hospital Ave., Danbury, CT  06810. Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield is in charge of arrangements.

The bull market continues because our currency continues to be devalued by the Feds' printing press.Read More In 2006 dollars it has not increased value at all. In addition, revenues have increased (due to the above) but companies' earnings remain mostly flat. Three cheers for a stagnant economy? Households have lost approx. $4000 each in wealth over the last couple of years.
