Ridgefield Attorney Paul Slager Testifies in Support of CT Bill Addressing Concussion Prevention in Youths
HARTFORD – State lawmakers are considering a pair of proposals that aim to address health concerns facing student athletes.
One would bolster an existing law designed to prevent concussions through increased education as well as a proposal to sharply limit the amount of time young athletes can play full-contact sports, such as football. A separate bill would raise awareness about sudden cardiac death.
The legislature's children's committee held hearings on both measures Thursday.
