Executive Coach to Lead Career Workshop for Women

St Stephen’s Episcopal Church will host a workshop, “Developing Women Leaders,” on Sunday, March 23, led by Ridgefield resident Anna Marie Valerio, Ph.D., an executive coach, psychologist and published author.  

The two-hour workshop, which coincides with Women’s History Month, begins at 3 p.m. in the church’s North Hall at 351 Main St. To register – by March 20 – please contact Carol Perine at c.perine@snet.net or 203-438-4754.  There is no charge.

“Developing Women Leaders” is open to women who are interested in career development. Its goal is to enable participants to advance their leadership skills and gain insights that improve the lives of both men and women.

            The session will consider four main topics: Understanding Gender Stereotypes and Biases, Building Networks, Key Challenging Experiences for Leadership Development and Creating a Leadership Action Plan. 

            Dr. Valerio is basing the workshop topics on her books, including Developing Women Leaders: A Guide for Men and Women in Organizations, published by Wiley. President of Executive Leadership Strategies, LLC, she has 20 years of management and consulting experience in a variety of organizations and with Fortune 500 clients. Her corporate experience includes working in IBM with the chief executive officer’s direct reports and their teams to build worldwide leadership capacity. Before that she led many corporate-wide functions at Sony and Verizon.
