Fashion in Ridgefield: What's Hot for Spring?

Patch asked local retailers to share the looks to shop for this Spring.

Spring fashion has arrived—even if the weather hasn't. What are this Spring's must-have colors, looks and accessories?

Patch stopped in two of the many boutiques in town for a preview of what to wear when the weather warms up.

Shelley Werbitt and Jamie Friend, who co-own SheShe at 416 Main Street, said citron—the color of a lemon tinted with green—was big.

"Silk tunics and baseball-cut shirts are in too," said Friend.

Asked what item anyone could add to their wardrobe to spruce it up for spring, Werbitt said short, cotton dresses that are easy to wear and flatter all shapes are a great option for women of any age and size.

Across the street at Lyn Evans Potpourii, store manager Grace Brescia of South Salem said bright colors were big, echoing her colleagues from SheShe.

"The colors pop this spring," she said. "Oranges, corals, lime green and sky blue are all going to be popular."

Bonnie Pazer, another employee of the store, pulled out a black shift dress made of leather and lace. "Anything with a spot of leather is hot right now," she said.

The women both added that this season the skirt and scarf combination—"bohemian chic"—would be a popular choice for women.

Do you like the fashion trends you're seeing for spring? Where are your favorite places to shop in Ridgefield?
