Keane's Autoworks Opens Tuesday in Ridgefield

Keane's Autoworks, a fixture in Bedford Hills on Adam's Street since July 2011, has opened a new auto repair shop next door to The Little Pub on Route 7 in Branchville.

Owner and Founder Michael Keane, 25, has been working with cars since he was 16, and after graduating from Western Connecticut State University in 2011, he took over the shop in Bedford Hills with coworkers he'd known for years.

"They don't want to deal with the headaches of owning a business. They just want to work on cars," Keane said. They work on every-day cars, Japanese and American, but they also work on Westchester and Fairfield Counties' high end rides, including BMWs, Mercedes, Porsche and Audis.

"I have owned a number of different cars (American, German, Japanese, etc.) and I bring all of them to Keane's. I have never had any issues with the work they have done and they are by far the cheapest place around," said Cade McCarthy in a Google Review, five months ago of the Bedford Hill repair shop.

And last month, "Ever since I had work done on my car at Keane's Autoworks, I've never taken it anywhere else. I'm always confident that the work on my car here is done with 100% care," wrote Toni Ruh in her Google Review.

"It's only a matter of time before people get fed up with a dealership charging them $1,900 for brakes," Keane said. "We have five really good techs and they can do anything."

The new shop is located in a stone building, 63 Ethan Allen Highway, next door to The Little Pub in Ridgefield's Branchville neighborhood. The building formerly held the Vespa dealership, which is now next door.

Keane said he has enough staff to run two repair shops. He said many of his customers come from Ridgefield, and the new location should be more convenient for them. He said it will also be convenient from Wilton, Weston, Redding and Danbury along Route 7. The Autoworks phone number is 203 493 5045.
