An incredibly talented group of Newtown and area middle school students will be on stage at the Ridgefield Playhouse this weekend performing Fiddler on the Roof Jr.
"This was a challenge for these kids because they really had to dig deep into culture and history to understand their characters," Sabrina Post, director of the show said.
Alex Aug, a student director said "It's really been exciting to see how far this group of kids have come."
This special edition of one of Broadway's masterpieces, Fiddler on the Roof Jr, covers the full range of human emotion and has touched audiences around the world.

Fiddler on the Roof Jr will be held at the Ridgefield Playhouse Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be bought at the door or ahead of time on the ticket page of Sabrina's Encore Productions.

- Peter Pan's Adventures performed by grades 1 - 5 on Saturday at 1 p.m.
- Crazy for You performed by area high school and college students on Saturday, August 6 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
