Ridgefield High School Sophomore Seeks Donations for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Tara Mazur, a Ridgefield HS sophomore, is hoping to grant a musical and/or theatrical wish for a child with a life-threatening medical condition through MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION, for her 16th birthday which was on March 16th.  She has raised $3300 so far towards her goal by hosting a charity benefit in honor of Make-A-Wish CT but she needs additional funds to make that happen. Tara's goal is to grant an entire wish for one special child and mentor them through the process.

Tara has made it a "tradition of giving" for every birthday since her 8th when she cut of 15 inches of her hair to give to "Locks of Love".  Every year thereafter she has asked for donations for various charities, which includes Oprah's Angel Network & St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

"THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED THEIR MONEY & TIME TO THIS CAUSE! "

Tara could use more assitance to reach her goal of $5000.

More recently, Tara has donated her time to the Make-A-Wish Walk for Wishes at the Beardsley Zoo where she portrayed Belle. She greeted and sang for Make-A-Wish kids and their families and friends. See below for a clip of that performance.

Tara is also looking for industry professionals that can help make a musical or theatrical dream happen for a child with a life-threatening illness. If you can help with the granting of a musical or theatrical wish in any way you can e-mail Tara at tara.mazur.sweet16@gmail.com.

Tara will be part of The Broadway Spotted Boot Camp in NYC where she will film a reality web series that shows her training with Broadway professionals.
