Ryan Doyle Hosting Lemonade Sale for Ridgebury Fire Department

Ryan Doyle is hoping you'll help support the Ridgebury Fire Department.

Ryan Doyle, 8, is pretty familiar with the people working at the Ridgebury Fire Department. Doyle has epilepsy, and for a while last year, the fire department's ambulance was a constant visitor to the Doyle home.

"We had the ambulance here once a week for a great length of time," said Kimberly Doyle. "We dropped off things and thanked them for how wonderful they are, but that didn't seem like enough for Ryan."

Ryan, 8, decided to host a lemonade stand at the Ridgebury Fire Department from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday to raise money for the department. The Ridgebury Fire Department at 169 Old Stage Coach Road is near the intersection of Bennett's Farm Road and the Ridgebury Elementary School.

"He felt so comfortable with them," Kimberly Doyle said. "He wants everyone to know how amazing they are."

Ryan's father, Jeff Doyle, posted this in Facebook, "My 8 year old is holding a lemonade/backed goods stand to support the Ridgefield FD. All his idea and its his way to say thank you for all the times they helped him (being transported to area hospitals due to a health condition) .
Any help to get the word out would be great. He has done all the leg work to get this off the ground including reaching out to the Chief for the okay."
