A Margarita and 5K Go Hand-In-Hand in This Race
The 7th Annual Southwest Cafe charity run is this weekend in Ridgefield.
Lace up your running shoes and put on your favorite margarita drinking shirt.
You'll need both for this weekend's 7th Annual Southwest Cafe Margarita 5K Run. The run will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. Runners with a race number get a free margarita.
There will also be a live band and raffle prizes. This year's run benefits the Ridgefield Sunrise Cottage, a residence for members of the community with disabilities. "It is part of ARI (Always Reaching for Independence), and devoted to enriching the lives of people with disabilities and their families by enabling them to achieve their fullest potential at home, at work, and in the community," states the race description page on the Fast Track Timing website.
Southwest Cafe is located at 109 Danbury Road in Ridgefield.
