Ridgefield Rotary - Passing of the Gavel

The Rotary Club of Ridgefield held its Passing of the Gavel ceremony on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Keeler Tavern Museum’s beautifully refurbished Garden House.  In attendance were special guests Assistant District Governor Larry Gardner and his wife, Sharon; and Past President, Charlie Fibbie and his wife, Judy.  The gavel was passed from 2012-2013 President, Bill Wyman, to the President Elect, Joe Kreitz, who will preside over the 2013-2014 year with the theme of Engage Rotary – Change Lives.  This is Joe’s second term as President.  The other members of the Board for the 2013-2014 year are as follows: Rich Vazzana (Vice President), Angelo Tartaro (Secretary), Rainer Gonet (Treasurer), Barbara McMahon (Sergeant-at-Arms), Joe Eillis (Sergeant-at-Arms), Cliff Heidinger (Consulting Director Emeritus) and Immediate Past President Bill Wyman.  Committees are as follows: Membership – Rich Vazzana (Chair) & Bill Iannuccili (Asst. Chair); Club Public Relations – Bill Wyman (Chair); Club Avenue of Service – Sue Manning (Chair) & Eileen Imparato (Asst. Chair); Community Avenue of Service – Karina Towne (Chair) & Jim Finklea (Asst. Chair); Vocational Avenue of Service – Mike Anderson (Chair); Youth Avenue of Service – Pat Cooney (Chair) & Kevin Walsh (Asst. Chair); The Rotary Foundation: Simon Cooper (Chair).  The event was extraordinary and the camaraderie priceless.
