Ridgefield High School Science Olympiad Team Earns Three Medals

On Saturday, March 29, Ridgefield High School sent its first team ever to the Connecticut Science Olympiad at the University of Connecticut's Storrs campus.

Fifteen students, led by team captain Jacob Feldman, competed in 23 events that tested their science knowledge and laboratory skills. Team mentors Elizabeth Ziegler, biology teacher, and Bryan Holmes, physics and engineering teacher, also went and helped judge some events.

The team earned medals in three events and scored #20 overall against 36 other high school teams:

Siqiao Mu and Natalie Parker earned second place medals for the "Write It, Do It" event.

Jacob Feldman and Justin Joyce earned third place medals for the "Astronomy" event.

Austin Langer and Alexandra DiGiacomo earned third place medals for the "Water Quality" event.
