Photomosaic Artist Exhibits at Tusk & Cup

Photographic artist Joseph King will deliver an artist talk during a reception at Tusk & Cup Fine Coffee on Friday, January 17th, from 5-7pm.  Mr. King's exhibit is presented as a collaboration between Tusk & Cup and Watershed Gallery.

The exhibit will feature two of King's unique photographic styles:  Photomosaics and Mirrored Montages. A photomosaic uses thousands of miniaturized photos to render a larger image. From a distance, the larger image predominates, but up close the miniaturized photos overtake the eye's mind and become foremost.

In his Mirrored Montage work, Mr. King creates a geometric, visually pleasing design crafted from a single image – arranged in an array of mirrored positions to form an exquisite design.  A single photo sprouts multiple versions of itself, kaleidescopically rendering a larger geometric design.
