Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) at The Hickories

The Hickories, a certified organic farm in Ridgefield, has Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Shares to offer the public.  Spring shares have sold out, but Summer and Fall Shares are still available in the farm's online store (www.thehickories.org).

The Hickories has broadened its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and Farm Store offerings from certified organic fruit, vegetables, and flowers to include livestock production as well of meat and wool. Sheep, goats, pigs, and layer hens are now a vibrant part of the farm's ecology, and the farmers are inviting the community to visit during scheduled farm tours to learn about sustainable agriculture and organic food production.

The Hickories' farmers will host Farm and Animal Tours on April 26th, May 17th, and May 31st featuring lams, goat kids, and piglets, to share the joys of spring on the farm.  Sign up on the website for a guided tour or for more information about the CSA program (www.thehickories.org).  Farm and Animal Tours are free to CSA members. General admission is $10 per person.
