Intern at Keeler Tavern Museum

Steven Albano, a senior at Ridgefield High School, has recently served as an intern at the Keeler Tavern Museum on Main Street, Ridgefield as part of the Ridgefield High School Senior Internship program. Steve has spent much time working on the digitizing of the Hartmann glass photographic plates from the early years of the 20th century, a project that will take many months. He has at long last begun this time consuming job and it is much appreciated. He has learned to use the scanner which transfers the images on the plates into the data base.

In addition, Steve has been assisting with the general activities in the office of the Museum  becoming familiar with many standard office procedures and learning to use the many office machines used in all offices today. He

also has assisted in reorganizing records for archives and artifacts collections.

Steve, a lover of history, will be attending Quinnipiac University in the fall. We wish him the very best for a successful college career. Everyone at the Museum, enjoyed meeting Steve and working with him this spring.
