AAA Honors Ridgefield Police for Outstanding Traffic Safety Efforts

AAA Southern New England – CT recently honored the Ridgefield Police for the department’s outstanding traffic safety programs.

In the third Annual AAAbCommunity Traffic Safety Award lunch at the Trumbull Marriott, Public Affairs Manager Fran Mayko presented Captain Brian Terzian,with an award recognizing the municipality for not having a pedestrian traffic fatality in 13 years; and Police Officer Charles Ekstrom with the club’s 2012 Traffic Safety Hero Award. Officer Ekstrom was nominated by his department for outstanding motor vehicle enforcement activities.

AAA Southern New England has 46 offices in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Massachusetts and provides more than 3.5 million members with travel, insurance, finance, and auto-related services such as driver’s license renewals, international driving permits and theme park and movie ticket sales. In CT, the territory includes Fairfield, New Haven, and Litchfield Counties.
