Adopted Together! Ozzy(10) & Shady(15)

Ozzy-Ozzy came in with his house brother Shady. He is ten years young though you'd never know it. He is one beautiful, loving, sweet boy. His owner decided to move to be closer to work but apparently couldn't find a place that would accept cats. REALLY REALLY a shame for Ozzy and Shady. How does one decide to turn over their TEN and FIFTEEN year old cats???
Well, they are safe with us and now hoping that someone will look beyond their age and see what a great opportunity owning an adult, even senior, cat can be. Ozzy is mellow and loving. Doesn't get the kitten crazies or behave badly. He feels he has a lot of life left in him to share with someone.
Lots of people are afraid to adopt an older cat because they worry about becoming so attached and then something awful happens to the cat. There are no guarantees in this life. Sometimes young cats or kittens appear healthy only to have something unforeseen crop up. The folks who do adopt senior cats will tell you that there is no greater honor.
Please, consider offering a senior a home. What you'll receive will be so worth it.
And hey, look at Ozzy's poor brother Shady, he's fifteen. I don't care how nice any shelter is, it is NOT a place for a cat to have to leave their only home and live the rest of their days out.

Shady-

Shady

We're keeping this one short. Shady is FIFTEEN years old. He lived his entire life in one home. When he was five, his people adopted Ozzy, another cat with us. Together they had an okay life. Now their owner decided to move. There seemed to be little or no consideration for finding a place that would accept two older cats, or should we say FAMILY MEMBERS.
So, instead of seeing them be sent to some place where they might be put to sleep if they didn't get adopted we decided to take them in. We realize Shady may never get a home at fifteen, but he will NEVER be put to sleep with us and he will always have a home with us. We would just prefer a REAL loving home for him to spend his final years.
The vet says he's in excellent health for a fifteen year old. He has come out of his cage now at the shelter, though he is still confused about what has happened to his life. Can't say that we blame him.
He's a good boy. We're hoping someone could find it in their hearts to take pity on him and give him what he deserves after all those years of devotion to someone who REALLY let him down in the end.
We'll work with you if you'd give him a chance.
