LOCAL TEEN BAND of RHS Music Students, THE MODERN TRIBE, WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THAT HAVE VOTED FOR THEM IN THEIR QUEST TO OPEN FOR ANDY GRAMMER AT THE RIDGEFIELD PLAYHOUSE. THEY HAVE WON THE FAN VOTE, THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT, IN THE QUARTER FINAL TOURNAMENT ROUND BUT THIS DID NOT ADVANCE THEM TO THE NEXT ROUND. THE BAND IS COMPOSED OF RHS MUSIC DEPARTMENT STUDENTS, AND INCLUDES 2 SETS OF SIBLINGS - RORY & TARA MAZUR, BRIAN & KYLE DUKE, AND GOOD FRIEND, MIKE DEVITO. TARA IS ALSO PART OF THE CAST OF THE PAJAMA GAME AT RHS THIS MARCH. RORY & MIKE ARE PART OF THE PIT BAND FOR THIS PRODUCTION AS WELL.

More About Ridgefield High School
Ridgefield High School (RHS ) is a rigorous public school in the state's top District Reference Group. RHS has 1,800 students and 156 faculty members. The school offers 20 advanced placement courses, and more than 90 percent of the class of 2008 matriculated at four-year colleges. The school competes as the Ridgefield Tigers in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
RHS has an open, airy space for students to eat— more reminiscent of a college student center than a high school cafeteria. Near that area is the Student Life Office, which helps oversee more than 40 student clubs and activities, which range from publications to cultural clubs to a cappella. The principal, Jeffrey Jaslow, holds weekly lunchtime sessions he calls "JasTime" to keep in touch with the student body.

Terrific band! Your votes will help them to win the TopBlip contest and open for Andy Grammer at the Ridgefield Playhouse. The Modern Tribe is full of energy and their music is very entertaining and fun to watch.
