On December 5th at 9:00 am at Founders Hall and December 7th at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, Lower Level Conference Room, the Ridgefield League of Women Voters will sponsor a program for the public on the timely topic Resident and Homeowner Safety During and After a Storm. Emergency preparedness will be covered concentrating on the following topics: Personal Safety, Homeowner concerns, tree maintenance and communications.
Detailed information on generator safety, helpful storm preparation tips and how to get information will be covered. Speakers will include First Selectman Rudy Marconi, Fire Chief Heather Burford, Deputy Emergency Manager Dick Aarons, John Pinchbeck, Ridgefield Tree Warden and William Adler, media consultant. More About Founders Hall
Located right next to Ridgefield Recreation Center, Founders Hall provides a selection of social, educational and physical fitness programs for seniors. Programs offered include arts, music, yoga and computer classes, speaker series, outdoor trips, and movie screenings to name a few. The center has 10 activity rooms which offer over 40 classes monthly. Established in November 2002, this not-for-profit organization admits seniors—membership is free—who are 60 years or older and stay in Ridgefield and the surrounding areas.
