Ridgefield's Zachary L. Lipson, 16
A resident of Ridgefield for the past seven years coming from Stamford, Zack was in the junior class at Ridgefield High School. Obituary provided by Kane Funeral Home in Ridgefield.
Zachary Lyle Lipson, 16, of Ridgefield died on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 in Ridgefield.
Zack was born in Trenton, NJ, June 13, 1995, a son of Gary N. Lipson and Laura Solomon of Ridgefield.
A resident of Ridgefield for the past seven years coming from Stamford, Zack was in the junior class at Ridgefield High School. He was a former member of the wrestling and football teams.
In addition to his parents of Ridgefield, Zack is survived by a brother, Sam Lipson of Ridgefield and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Renee Lipson of Fall River, MA.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Temple Shearith Israel at 46 Peaceable St. Burial will follow in Ridgebury Cemetery.
The family will observe Shiva at their home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Contributions in Zack's memory and honor may be made to the Ridgefield Fire Department Ambulance Fund, 6 Catoonah St. or to the Ridgefield Police P.B.A., 76 East Ridge, both of Ridgefield, CT 06877.
The Kane Funeral Home at 25 Catoonah St. is in charge of arrangements.

This is tragic. I am in prayer for the family and the youth in Ridgefield. Parents unite to support and protect our young people. It takes a village!

The death of Zach has really hit the community hard as there has been way to many losses of our youth in such a short time. I know Parents across town have been hugging their kids with more meaning since Sunday. May your spirituality give you strength through this extremely sad time. So sorry for your loss.....
