Ridgefielder of the Week: Gina Wilson

Meet the town's orchestra impresario.

Name Gina Wilson

Age 51

Occupation Executive Director of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra for the last year and a half. Before this I was the accompanist for the Ridgefield Chorale. I founded the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra in 2003.

How long have you been in Ridgefield?
I've been in Ridgefield since 1992. I'm originally from New Jersey. I lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Ridgefield.

What is your favorite place to go in Ridgefield?
I like to walk my dog, Maggie, on Main Street. She's an 11-year-old Wheaton Terrier. We also love going to Keeler Tavern.

Why Ridgefield?
My husband's company transferred him to Greenwich, so we were looking at commutable towns and we just fell in love with Ridgefield.

Wilson welcomes Ridgefielders to enjoy the RSO's summer concert series, held Saturdays in July.
