Ridgefield Teens Arrested For Providing Alcohol to Minors

The alcohol was made available at two different house parties attended by Jacqueline Brice on the night of the deadly car crash that claimed her life.

As Ridgefield , five teens and a 21-year-old have been charged with supplying alcohol to minors in connection with the that claimed the life of on the night of Aug. 3.

According to a report in the Hartford Courant, based on a police report, the alcohol was made available at two different house parties attended by Brice on the night of the crash.

A 16-year-old who hosted one of the parties while her parents was away has been charged with delivery of alcohol to minors; while two 17-year-olds who allegedly purchased beer for the party using fake IDs have also been arrested, according to the report. One of the 17-year-olds has been charged with conspiracy to deliver alcohol to a minor, while the other was charged with delivery of alcohol to a minor, delivery of alcohol with a false ID and second degree forgery, the report states.

In addition a 16-year-old male who police say sold alcohol to a juvenile was charged with delivery of alcohol to a minor, the report states.

A 16-year-old who hosted a second, smaller party that Brice attended that evening was also arrested for providing alcohol to minors, according to the report. In addition, James Werner, 21, has been charged with conspiracy to procure alcohol for a minor and conspiracy to obtain alcohol with a false ID, according to the report, which points out that Werner was 20 and lived in Tarrytown N.Y. at the time.

Brice was killed when the 2008 Range Rover she was driving veered off the roadway while heading east on Keeler Drive. Police said the vehicle struck a tree and a large rock and spun 180 degrees before it came to rest. Her blood alcohol content was reportedly .19 percent.
