Ridgefield Man Could Be Ordered to Pay $190K in ‘Rare’ Paternity Case
Eric Fischer had reportedly grown suspicious over the years that his youngest daughter wasn’t really his.
The Connecticut State Supreme Court has reportedly ruled that a Middletown man can proceed with a lawsuit seeking $190,000 in damages from a Ridgefield man in a rare paternity case.
According to an Associated Press report, Eric Fischer had grown suspicious over the years that his youngest daughter wasn’t really his — mostly because she bore no resemblance to her older sister. After submitting hair samples for DNA testing he learned the truth: The biological father was Richard Zollino, who had started Focus Productivity Inc., a consulting business in Ridgefield, with Fischer’s ex-wife, Pamela Tournier, in 1993.
Now, in what is reportedly a “rare” paternity case, a judge has ruled that Fischer can proceed to request compensation for the cost of raising the girl, who is now 19, from Zollino.
