Ridgefield Cheer Team Gets A Cheer of Their Own

The Ridgefield high school cheerleading squad will get to show off their skills on television next month.

Ridgefield cheerleading has become a competitive force these days.

In early March, they will get to show those skills on television during a special called "The Cheering Life" on MSG. The show will highlight the FCIAC cheering championships with 17 high schools.

The show will highlight 17 Connecticut high school cheering squads competing for the all-around title, featuring interviews, full routine coverage and awards presentations, according to a press release.

“We are thrilled to air the FCIAC Cheerleading Championships for the third year in a row and to share the student-athletes’ hard work with their communities,” said Michael Lardner, Senior Vice President & Executive Producer, MSG Varsity.

The program will air March 11 at 7:30 p.m.

"This is a great opportunity for friends and family members to see the athletes’ hard work pay off, as well as give them a chance to check out the competition," said Jessica Pribush.
