- Five youthful offenders were charged on July 2 after a police officer working a "cops in shop" shift caught one buying alcohol with a fake ID.
The 16 year old buying the alcohol was charged with procuring alcohol to minors. She was released on a written promise to appear in court and is scheduled to be arraigned on July 12.
The four other youths with her were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. - William Bonnet, 20, of 5 Shaw Ave., Norwalk, was charged on July 3 with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive right and failure to obey signs and markings.
- A 19-year-old Ridgefielder was issued an infraction after police raided a reported youthful gathering on the evening of July 4 and found alcohol there.
Jonathan Mirra, 19, of 17 Kimberly Ct., was charged at 121 Cedar Lane with possession of alcohol by a minor on private property.
Mirra must pay a fine by July 21. - Evelio Huertay, 17, of 36 Tierney St., Norwalk, was charged on July 5 with failure to drive at a reasonable distance and driving without a license. Huertay's vehicle crashed into the back of a car stopped for a red light at the intersection of Routes 7 and 102. The accident caused minor damage.
