After a series of weather delays, there were solar panels installed on top of Ridgefield's Parks and Recreation building on Danbury Road last week.
The panels should save more than $3,000 annually in electricity costs. Pioneer Valley Photovoltaic from Massachusetts did the installation.
The solar panels were part of Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment efforts in getting residents to sign up for clean energy points.

Great project, great video! I am so thrilled to see that the panels are up and functional (or soon to be). Thanks Dwayne and Jeff!

I very much appreciated the video on the installation process at the Rec Center. RACE has done the town of Ridgefield a terrific service that will not only save us money, but serve as an educational tool and incentive for others to sign up for clean energy from their electric utility.
