FAIRFIELD: "People who sit by and let evil prevail are no better than the perpetrators themselves. I keep reading things like, 'JoePa IS Penn State.' Have a little pride in your school and do the right thing." This was one Fairfield Patch reader's reaction to a poll that asked whether Penn State football coach Joe Paterno should have been fired.

GREENWICH: "I call your Mandela and Gandhi, and raise you with a Mark Twain: 'It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.'" This was one Greenwich Patch reader's response to post written by blogger Ed Krumeich about the town's low election turnout. The two were trading quotes from famous figures.

RIDGEFIELD: "And there will always be those that cry after an election when they don't get their way. The majority spoke. C'est la vie. Get over it and move on.. or move out if all you can do is complain. Cheers :)" This was one Ridgefield Patch reader's response to Tuesday's election results, which saw the Democrats sweep the Board of Finance.

WILTON: "More people voted on Tuesday on the beer issue than [they] did in the last budget vote — what's wrong with that picture?" This was one Wilton Patch reader's response to news that Wiltonians voted down the sale of beer in local grocery stores.
