Ridgefield Library sends a shout-out of thanks to its supporters who attended what turned out to be a record-breaking Celebrity Bartender Night at Toscana Ristorante Oct. 28.

Library director Chris Nolan said, "Despite competition from those who wanted to watch the [World] Series on TV, we had an extraordinarily large crowd. Many thanks to Toscana for offering this and making things run smoothly. Our celebrity bartenders were Philip Lodewick, Nick Donofrio, Rob Ellis and Peter Coffin. The amount taken in was $16,557. This is a record!

The generosity of attendees was broad-based. The library is so fortunate to have so many supporters—the proceeds of this benefit the Campaign for the New Library. "
