Rise & Shine and Learn Tips for Communicating Your Message

The Chamber of Commerce and Tom Martin (shown here), a leader in PR, will help your business learn to tell its story, connect to customers and improve business results in these difficult economic times at the Rise & Shine Networking Breakfast on Tues., Nov. 23.  The event is co-sponsored by the Ridgefield Library and will be held in the library's Dayton Room from 7:30 -9 a.m.

According to Marion Roth, the Chamber's executive director, "The session will talk about how to reach a vast number of potential customers through cutting-edge public relations  tools and networking tools like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.  Studies  have shown that during a tough economy, traditional advertising is less persuasive, and connecting with new customers through the news media and social networking is more effective than ever."

Marion adds that Tom Martin is a master of the subject who can dramatically expedite the learning curve and improve business results within a matter of weeks. He is a journalist with more than 20 years producing stories for top network news anchors, including Diane Sawyer and Charlie Rose, and has played key management roles in New York's top PR firms.   At the session he will focus on social networking tools, strategies for connecting, developing the story, developing sound bites and perfecting the e-mail pitch.

To register, call the Chamber at 203-438-5992 or register online at www.ridgefieldchamber.org.  Tickets are $12 for Chamber members and $20 for nonmembers.
