Chamber to Host Vinjamuri at Rise & Shine Breakfast

David Vinjamuri will be a guest speaker at the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce Rise & Shine Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at The Ridgefield Library's Dayton Room. The speaker is sponsored by Betsy Brand of Brandmark Studios, The Ridgefield Library and the chamber.

Vinjamuri is adjunct Professor of Marketing at New York University and president of ThirdWay Brand Trainers, a leading brand marketing training company. He has over two decades of marketing and management experience.

Vinjamuri started his career at Johnson & Johnson and Coca-Cola in brand management and marketing. He is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and studied marketing and manufacturing at Harvard Business School. He is editor and lead reviewer for the ThirdWay Advertising Blog, which is ranked in the AdAge Power 150.

His book on entrepreneurs, "Accidental Branding: How Ordinary People Build Extraordinary Brands," was reviewed over 130 times including coverage of the launch event in the Sunday New York Times.  Vinjamuri has appeared over a dozen times on Fox Business News and MSNBC and has been quoted in The New York Times, USA Today, Investor's Business Daily and BusinessWeek.  He has reviewed advertising for BrandWeek and written on CMO strategy for Advertising Age.

"Whether you are an entrepreneur, a corporate executive or a small business owner, '6 Lessons from Accidental Brands' will change how you think about your business," according to the chamber's announcement.

Vinjamuri studied entrepreneurs who built huge brands from scratch without the benefit of an MBA or any background in brand marketing. In "6 Lessons from Accidental Brands," he shows how these entrepreneurs broke the traditional rules of marketing and built stronger brands. With nearly two decades of corporate marketing experience, he will share his deep knowledge and new insights to help attendees build strong brands.
